Richard Kovacs (b. in Hungary) is a London based photographer and videographer. He assisted Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott for 3 years and graduated from University of the Arts London with the Award for Excellence in Fashion Media. He devotes his time to personal projects including fashion and documentary work, alongside commissions. Richard experiments in photography & film and finds inspiration in a wide range of sources including the work of film directors like Bela Tarr, Michael Mann and David Lynch, 20th Century Hungarian and Japanese photographers, artists like Gyorgy Kepes and Laszlo Moholy-Nagy and everyday things experienced while traveling.
